The Department of Electronics and Communications was established in the year 2008 with an intake of 60 students and subsequently enhanced to 180 students in the year 2014. The department also offers M.Tech Programme in VLSI Design from the academic year 2012 with an intake of 18 students & the current intake is 6. The department is well equipped with state-of-art laboratories and highly qualified staff.
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering is headed by Dr. Bonam Raghavaiah received the Doctorate degree in Reverse converters design based on Hybrid Parallel Prefix adders from Shri JJTU University, Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan in 2019 and the Master of Technology in Embedded Systems from JNUTK , Andhra Pradesh in 2010. His current research and teaching interests are Hybrid parallel prefix adders, Reverser Converters, VLSI architectures. He has authored more than 30 research publications in National / International Journals and Conferences. He has published two textbooks on Basics of Electronic Devices and Circuits. He has published five patents. He has attended and organized several Seminars, Workshops and Faculty Development Programs pertaining to imparting the knowledge regarding the human resource. He is an active member of Professional bodies like MISTE. He has over 17 years of teaching experience in various positions.
To produce innovative, ethical and socially responsible graduates in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering who can address the global and environmental challenges through excellence in technical education and research.
